About Rafia

Founder & CEO Rafia Hussain is a commercial theatre producer with nearly a decade of experience developing and producing artistically ambitious work with broad audience appeal.

She began her career championing early career Black and Brown voices through small to mid-scale productions — work that sharpened her skills in talent development, partnership-building, and hands-on producing across the UK.

In 2024, she co-authored the sector-shaping Producing Producers report, which is informing national conversations around workforce development and infrastructure for racialised producers.

Selected for Stage One’s prestigious 5 at 50 programme — which backs five of the most promising commercial producers in the UK — Rafia is focused on creating compelling, commercially viable theatre at the highest level, reaching new audiences while achieving significant artistic and commercial impact.
